PhD, Masters and ISTernship candidates with a strong background in structural biology, cellular microbiology, and nucleoprotein biochemistry must apply though the ISTA graduate school portal.
Internship positions in our lab are limited, so only candidates who already possess a strong technical background and relevant experience will be considered, with positions lasting a duration of exactly 12 months. Applications written using generative AI (ChatGPT etc.) will not be considered.
Prospective graduate students should reach out and discuss potential projects prior to application to the ISTA Graduate School (typically January). Applicants should have an M.Sc. degree in life sciences with an excellent academic record. We aim to recruit 1-2 students each year, with priority given to those who reached out prior to application submission. Students accepted to the ISTA graduate school should contact Jack to schedule a rotation.
Postdoc candidates are strongly encouraged to contact jack.bravo[at]ista.ac.at for more details and discuss potential projects and fellowship opportunities. Please send a cover letter containing a brief statement of your research background and interests, your CV and contact information for three references. Open positions will be advertised on Bluesky, LinkedIn and other social platforms.
